The Kay El Bar Ranch, on the National Register of Historic Places, surrounds guests with thick-walled adobe dwellings where each room is a cowboy postcard of charm, character and comfort. The informal, relaxed atmosphere and small size (maximum capacity 24) create a warm, intimate environment where guests are quickly part of the family. Professional wranglers guide guests through thousands of acres of open desert landscaped with towering saguaro cactus and desert flora where the terrain varies from sandy washes to mountain foothills and towering canyons. Well-trained horses are suitable for all riding levels, and instruction is an integral part of the horse program. Accommodations include eight rooms in the historic main lodge, a two-bedroom, two-bath cottage, and two casitas.
